Experienced business leader and serial entrepreneur, Anthony Iacovone, has been at the forefront of the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning technology in both the marketing and biomedical industries for the past 15 years. Having spent the bulk of his career working to innovate and improve the AI ecosystem, he’s passionately invested in the continued development of a model for which artificial intelligence can be applied to help improve outcomes across various industries. Anthony is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of BioSymetrics, Barometric Inc, and AdTheorent Inc.
BioSymetrics Inc. was initially developed in 2013 as a research cohort that focused on biomedical applications of Artificial Intelligence. The group was founded on the premise that if AI and Machine Learning can revolutionize ad tech, they could potentially have a similar impact in the biomedical field. Today, BioSymetrics has successfuly built a groundbreaking framework and coding language for biomedical AI, known as the Augusta™ framework, which enables the normalization and modeling of biomedical data. This data, which consists of imagery, genetics, chemistry, and many other sources, can be used to enhance outcomes in drug discovery, precision medicine, and value-based care.
Anthony also co-founded the advertising technology company AdTheorent in 2011, which served as a next-generation digital ad platform and has since become a four-time Inc. 5000 growth company. Driven by the core values of integrity, innovation, and growth, AdTheorent has gained market significance by developing a new architecture in Machine Learning. This updated structure improves decision-making in data utilization for cross-channel advertising, and as a result, AdTheorent has successfully generated millions of dollars in revenue for its clients – all by connecting them with the right audience, under optimal conditions, at the most opportune time.
In tandem with AdTheorent, Barometric was developed in 2011 as an internal cross-device tracking tool for AdTheorent’s data-driven digital ad network. This tool spun off as a separate entity in April 2018, and was subsequently sold to Claritas. Barometric’s leading technology offers a comprehensive solution for cross-environment media tracking and measurement.
Prior to his work on AdTheorent, Barometric, and BioSymetrics, one of Anthony’s earlier forays into business was with Augme Mobile, which he founded in 2008 as a means of providing strategic services and mobile technology to consumer and healthcare brands.
Beyond his own ventures, Anthony is highly active in the broader tech industry. He serves as an investor and advisor for various organizations, including the Accelerate NY Biotech Seed Fund, BrandVerge, Commerce Signals, EVZDRP, Mobiquity Networks, PainQX, Prospect Dugout, Targagenix, and Wylei. For each of these institutions, he offers expert advice on business and advertising technology matters.
Anthony is the former majority owner of the New Britain Bees, a minor league baseball club in the Atlantic League. He is also the founder of the Beautiful Lives Project, a 501(c)(3) charity which aims to increase sports and leisure accessibility for disabled individuals in the US.
